Many filing stations and supermarkets are already adding  the new fee to the customer’s purchases. To avoid dispute with its customers, filling stations have pasted notices on their pumps. In a notice to its customers, a filling station official said: “N50 Stamp Duty Charge on PoS Transactions. Folliwing the CBN directive of September 17, 2019 to charge applicable taxes and duties on individual electronic transcations, all Hayden Retail Stations shall henceforth charge N50 extra on all PoS transactions from N1, 000.” Before now, the fee paid by merchants on the aggregate PoS transactions carried out on a particular period, which was never passed to customers. Legendary Nigerian singer and guitarist, Sir Victor Uwaifo, has revealed why he sued Nigerian singer, Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye, aka Simi, for N50 million. Uwaifo accused the songstress of "stealing" his intellectual property, 'Joromi'. In an exclusive interview with SaharaReporters shortly after his performance at the just concluded National Festival of Arts and Culture in Edo State, he said: “We’re in court already I sued her at the federal high court for N50 million. They will be coming to court.” When Sahara Reporters asked if Simi had reached out to him privately, he answered: “No, only through her lawyers. Burna Boy  and his mom left fans stunned after delivering a mindblowing speech at the end of Burna’s show in Paris. The African Giant as he is fondly called has been on tour for a while made a stop in Paris to perform at a sold-out show. ATIKU : PETER OBI REACTS TO SUPREME COURT RULING, THANKS NIGERIANS

Peter Obi, running mate to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),  Atiku Abubakar , has reacted to the ruling of the Supreme Court on the appeal of his principal against the victory of Muhammadu Buhari. Obi spoke on Wednesday, October 30, just minutes after  the Supreme Court threw out the appeal by Atiku . "My reaction is first, to most sincerely thank all Nigerians who have followed the election and voted. I again thank them for this court process,"  he said. The Supreme Court, after the ruling by a seven-man panel, announced that a later date would be given to explain its decision to throw out the appeal.
