Folu Adeola Adeeko, the mother of the boy who killed 22-year-old Favour Daley-Oladele in a money ritual scheme has admitted that she did consumed part of her remains in ignorance.

The 400 level Theatre Arts student of The Lagos State University (LASU) was lured by her boyfriend Owolabi Adeeko to a white-garment church own by one Prophet Segun Phillips located at Ikoyi Ile, Ikire, a town in Osun state on December 8 last year where she was killed, mutilated and served in a soup in his quest to get rich.

Owolabi who met Favour about two months before the dastardly act had confessed to have used a pestle to smash her head while she was asleep before the 42-year-old prophet carved her open with a knife, and thereafter used parts of her body to prepare a concoction eaten by Owolabi’s mother.

But Mrs Adeeko in her own account revealed that she was never aware of the heinous plan of the prophet and her son to use the lady for money-making ritual.

She claimed, she indeed went to the church for spiritual solutions to her spiritual challenges.

According to her "I told him about my spiritual challenges and he gave me a soap to bath that from my dream he would know the next step to take. I narrated the dream that it was in form of a ceremony where I cooked amala, meat and stew for people.

He then asked me if I have people who are late. I said my mother and my junior sister were late. He then asked if I have done "sara" for them? I replied that I don't believe in it at all because it brings setback."

Adeeko who decorates schools as an occupation continued that that Prophet Phillips then told her what to do.

"They went and bought sheep, yam flour, soup ingredients &every other thing. It was his wife who went to the market to buy them. They prepared everything in my presence. They slaughtered the sheep, prepared everything with some guys around and they did everything while was there. After the whole thing, people came around and ate the majority of it.

He then told me that from the goat they killed, they are going to make a native soup that I shouldn't worry that I should go to my hotel that in the night that they will bring the native soup for me which I ate."

She then claimed that she was shocked when it was revealed to her that what she ate that night was indeed Favour's flesh.

" It was when I got to the police station that I learned that it was prepared with (Favour's) flesh. I didn't know because they mixed it so many things and I have never eaten human flesh before so, I don't know how to recognize if it was human flesh or goat meat.

I felt very bad. I'm highly disappointed because I trusted my (only) son so much. I'm highly disappointed in him because he betrayed my trust. "

Mother and son as well as the prophet ha ve since been arrested.
