The World’s Fifth Most Expensive Guitar Belonged to Bob Marley
The guitar, which was owned by Marley, is one of seven and it is now valued at US$1.2 million. The Jamaican Government classified it as a national asset after the Bob’s death in 1981.
Scholars have said, the 22 fret double-cutaway Washburn guitar was a favorite for the superstar.
Bob also owned a Yamaha SG1000 and a, 1070s Fender Stratocaster. He was seen using both guitars during the Wailers’ last tour in 1979.
The rankings were posted by Wealthy Gorilla the self-improvement website. Coming in at number one was the singer Bryan Adams’ Fender Stratocaster, and it was sold for US$2.7 million at an auction in 2015.
