The rating which was contained in a recent statistics made available by the National Agency for the Control of Aids (NACA).
According to the statistics, Akwa Ibom leads with 5.6% prevalence, followed by Benue state that has and Rivers state with
Kastina has the lowest HIV prevalence in Nigeria with 0.3%, together with Jigawa which also has the same percentage, while Sokoto, Bauchi and Yobe are having 0.4% prevalence.
With the rating, South-South region of the country has the highest percentage of HIV prevalence in Nigeria and contributed to more than half of the total percentage of HIV prevalence in the country.
The total national prevalence rate is 1.4%. Here is the full list of states according to their ranking:
