Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has appealed to voters in Kogi and Bayelsa States to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Naija News reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Saturday, November 16, 2019, for the Kogi and Bayelsa States Governorship Election.
Also, INEC had scheduled a rerun election in Kogi West Senatorial District after the Appeal Court nullified the election of Senator Dino Melaye.
In a statement on Thursday by his Media Office, Atiku charged voters to take a serious interest in the choices they make on Saturday as they cast their votes.
He also urged members of the PDP to use the power of their overwhelming strength in those two states in ensuring that its flag remains standing.
The Waziri of Adamawa State reminded voters that the senatorial election in Kogi West is equally crucial and that they need to turn out in their numbers to defend the seat.
Atiku stated that the leadership of the PDP has an abiding confidence in the voters in that senatorial election that the choices before them is between a continuation of quality representation at the Senate and a promise of meaningless change.
According to the former Vice President, all security agencies on election duty must do their jobs with utmost professionalism.
