Flamboyant pastor, Chukwuemeka Odumejeje was on Saturday, November 23, conferred with an honorary doctoral degree from Gregory University, Uturu, Abia State.

Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumejeje, who has made news headlines numerous times because of his flamboyant lifestyle and the unconventional way he pastors his church, was honored with the doctorate for his "service to humanity".

A banner put up to congratulate him addressed the religious leader as Prophet (Dr.) Chukwuemeka Odumejeje.

The news that he was conferred with a doctorate came as a surprise to Nigerians and they took to Facebook to react.
