Winners have emerged at the 6th All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA held on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the Eko Convention Centre of Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

Winners were announced in the 36 categories of the awards ceremony, which comprise the Continental and Regional categories.

The Continental Category rewards African artistes in various music genres and forms, while the Regional Category celebrates the outstanding achievements of African artistes within their specific region of origin.

Also, the 6th AFRIMA Legendary awards were announced; a recognition of individuals who have impacted the world positively, using their craft in the music, arts and culture industry.

Unlike others, this category is not open to public voting, but determined by the African Union, International Committee of AFRIMA and the AFRIMA Jury.

Man Confessed- I Defiled My Two years Old Daughter Thinking She My Wife

One Iniobong Okon Moses of Ikot Amupe Obio Offot, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State who allegedly defiled his two-year-old step daughter said he committed the act thinking that it was with his wife. Iniobong revealed this when he was paraded in the police command headquarters, Ikot-Akpanabia alongside other suspects allegedly involved in incest and rape. The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, SP Odiko Macdon, while briefing the press on Friday over the activities of sexual predators in the state said Iniobong forcefully defiled the two year old while carrying her on his laps. Macdon noted that the forceful penetration caused the victim to sustain serious injuries, which made her bled profusely, adding that the girl has been taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. The suspect in an interrogation by newsmen, confessed to the crime and narrated how he came back from a vigil, drunk, grabbed his two-year-old step daughter thinking that she was his wife and had carnal knowledge of her....
