She wrote on Twitter:

These rogues really came to assassinate Goodluck Jonathan. Thank God he wasn’t home. They matched the soldiers, fire power to fire power. Moved one gun boat. Killed a soldier and the rest of the soldiers had to take cover in their armoured tank else it would have been bloodier

Craziest thing is that Goodluck was meant to be in his house in Otuoke but for some not-too-serious logistics issue he delayed his return by a day. These people would have hit while he was home. Thank God for always using very flimsy things to save His children

Earlier today, reports made the rounds that three of the gunmen that attacked the home of the ex-president were killed, while a soldier also lost his life in the gun battle.

It was gathered that the plan of the gunmen was thwarted by soldiers manning a riverside checkpoint near former President Goodluck Jonathan countryside home in Otuoke, Bayelsa state.

An Ogbia youth leader, who spoke in confidence, described the attack on Jonathan’s house as disturbing.
