CROCODILES AND WILD ANIMALS INVADE OGUN COMMUNITY

To make matters worse, crocodiles and other wild animals have been said to make the flooded area their home as they move freely.

Success Ola, one of the security officers seen as at the time of the visit, reported a particular incident where a woman was injured by a crocodile as she walked on the flooded road.

Some affected residents had to leave their houses due to the flood.

According to him, the woman was trying to walk through the flooded water when the crocodile grazed her thigh. She was later rushed to the hospital when they discovered she was bleeding. He went on to explain that some of the residents left have made good use of the wild animal invasion as they kill some of the animals on a regular basis.

Monkeys and some other animals have been reported to have been seen.

Some of the animals recorded to have been seen so far include crocodiles, alligators, snakes, fishes and monkeys. Ola explained that those who want to move on the flooded roads have to walk in the middle of the road in order to avoid some of the wild animals that may be crawling out of the bushes.

Businesses also seem to be affected as a vulcanizer lamented bitterly about the state of things. He explained that his working tools have been damaged by the water. Some residents have resorted to the use of canoe in order to go about their day to day activities.

N28million Worth Of Marijuana Seized By NDLEA In Ondo The Ondo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Tuesday said it had seized a total of 14.3 tonnes of Indian hemp in the state.
