Ray HushPuppi, a Nigerian based in Dubai who lists as a real estate developer on his social media platforms has responded to the arrest of his former associate Mompha over a possible 335,285,471.40 United Arab Emirates Dirham fraud. Ismaila Mustapha known by his street name and social media handle @Mompha is a flamboyant Dubai-based Nigerian who was arrested in a combined effort by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC), a Nigerian law enforcement agency that investigates financial crimes such as advance fee fraud and money laundering; and The International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), an international organization that facilitates worldwide police cooperation and crime control. ‘Mompha’ was arrested on Friday 18, October 2019 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, Nigeria on his way back to his Dubai home.
Ray Hushpuppi born as Raymond Igbalodely formerly based in Malaysia but now in Dubai is known for his luxurious lifestyle both at home and abroad which he displays on his public Instagram and Snap chat accounts.
HushPuppi and Mompha had a major fallout over differences in ideology which has been a subject of social media debate over time. Addressing it in a 2017 post on his Instagram page which has now been shut down, Mompha shared how he had advised HushPuppi to move to Dubai, accommodated HushPuppi in his home, dealt with HushPuppi's poly-amorous lifestyle and opened up his network to him. He accused HushPuppi of using his personal bank account for fraud, sending him to jail and what he termed as flossing for social media by posting receipts and pictures that didn't belong to him.
Addressing it on his Instagram page in a live question and answer with his followers, HushPuppi said he chose to put everything behind him and he has cleared his mind of all grudges to pave the way for his many blessings. Blessed is what a lot of people will call HushPuppi as he has come a long way and made a lot of friends since his days with Mompha.
How deep do Mompha and HushPuppi's ties go?
In just a few days since Mompha was arrested, he has led security officials to some of his other partners. A lebanese man, Hamza Koudeih, was arrested in a N1.8bn/10,145,781.32 AED apartment in the 33-storey Eko Atlantic Pearl Tower, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria over his dealings with Mompha.
Speculation is in the air about the possibility of linking any of Mompha's deals to HushPuppi and if Mompha will decide to reveal details about their past dealings.

Mompha is presently in custody and continues to reveal his accomplices in a 335,285,471.40 United Arab Emirates Dirham fraud which security officials have revealed he perpetuated using 51 bank accounts and fronting as a bureau de change owner in Dubai. HushPuppi continues to post on his social media pages like before.
How are Mompha's followers reacting to his arrest?
