Bayelsa Election: INEC Ad-hoc Staff Complained Of Omission Of Names

Less than twenty-four hours to the conduct of Bayelsa governorship election, some ad-hoc members have registered their displeasure over the omission of their names on the list of the people recruited to coordinate election proceedings in several parts of the state.

Some ad-hoc members were, however, excited after seeing their names on the list.

It was reported that in a ruling on Thursday, November 14, the appellate court panel led by Justice Steven Adah also cleared the APC deputy governorship candidate, Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo, for the November 16 election.

The court granted that the status quo ante bellum which existed on or before September 19, when the suit was filed be maintained, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.

An interim order for stay of the judgment of the lower court had been delivered on November 12, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.

The motion on notice to be heard on November 20, 2019, and the respondents to be served with the Motion on Notice and copy of the court order.

N28million Worth Of Marijuana Seized By NDLEA In Ondo The Ondo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Tuesday said it had seized a total of 14.3 tonnes of Indian hemp in the state.
