Rumour making rounds within the Nigerian social media space has it that Nigerian Afro-Hip Hop sensation, X-Two J, whose real name is ThankGod Kelechi Johnny, who came into limelight when he won the MTN Music Plus in 2017 has been offered 10 million naira to quit singing by Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.
X-Two J, has not enjoyed much of the spotlight since he won the MTN Music Plus Award, has been in the news lately after a raunchy performance with a female fan who danced almost-naked with him while he was performing at an event. X-Two J is known for his seduction style of Afro pop music, soft dulcet voice, romantic and seduction lyrics.
Aliko Dangote was reported to have said: “I may not be good in listening to music but as a fan of Afro Pop music, I heard X-Two J’s music and was turned off.”
At the time of filing this report, the veracity of the news could not be ascertained and it appeared the rumour was only a PR stunt to get the musician back to spotlight. However, it is indeed hilarious, seeing the way Nigerians are reacting to the news.
