Four fatalities were recorded and fourteen others grievously wounded this afternoon, November 15, 2019, as a Dangote truck reportedly collided head on with an 18-passenger commuter bus at Erin-Ijesha, Osun State, Nigeria.
The bus, a Federal Assisted Mass Assisted vehicle, reportedly traveling in a convoy with six other busses from Lagos State to Kano State exploded into flames as it was fatally rammed off the road by the reckless truck driver who attempted to overtake another truck that was parked by the road after it had reportedly broken down.
Sympathizers, also traveling along the route, were able to rescue only fourteen (14) from the raging inferno, with five of them - including the bus driver - terribly wounded and hanging on to life by a thin thread. Four other passengers were not so lucky though as they were burnt alive in the fatal accident, as both travelers and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) members who had rushed to the scene immediately, could only watch on in horror.
The killer truck driver did not stop at all but sped off with one of his own tires too reportedly on flames.
