Nigeria’s eccentric actor, James Ikechukwu Esomugha, popularly known as Jim Iyke, has done the unheard of.
The 43 years old actor and songwriter from Enugu Agidi, Anambra State, who was born in Libreville, Gabon, threw his girlfriend into a swimming pool in Lagos some days back and is now on the wanted list of the security agents.
But the Philosophy graduate from the University of Jos insists he didn’t commit the offence as recorded and circulated in the video.
Jim who was born the only boy in a family of eight children said in self defence,
“Hey, watch closely. It wasn’t me that dumped her in the pool o.”
But hold it, before you pass judgement on the actor who holds a black belt in taekwondo, the said criminal incident did not happen in our own world. It happened in the world of make-believe where Jim Iyke is a front line partaker.
The incident is in a new movie in the works titled, “Bad Comments”.
Would you call that hate speech?
Well, if you say so, the girlfriend provoked the character played by Jim Iyke and he dumped her straight in the pool, thank God he did not send her to the grave by hanging.
Jim Iyke is the executive producer of the movie while Sneeze Mankind is director.
